2023 Boston Photo Studio Refresh

It’s a new year and the my Belmont Photography studio got a new refresh! I gathered information from my 2022 sessions and looked for ways to improve even more my client experience. I believe taking beautiful images is just part of the experience, I want my clients to feel at home when they are in the studio. This is extremely important to me. So today I want to share with you all the updates to the studio for 2023. I hope you love the changes as much as I do. These were made for you, I can’t wait to welcome Boston babies and families in the studio this year!

A new dressing room in the shooting floor

The client lounge is downstairs, all the gowns and props are also there. In the past, this is where clients would change and then go upstairs to pose for portraits. This was a little difficult, especially for newborn sessions. Parents had to switch duties with who would stay with the baby while they changed. So to improve client experience, I moved the prop closet downstairs which gave space for a beautiful dressing room. When clients come in for their sessions, the previously chosen gowns will be hanging in the new dressing room, making it easy for Mamas to change between looks. This is by far my favorite refresh for 2023.

A black wall corner & a new white wall

I am so excited for this black wall corner, I have wanted this for a long time. The portraits I have created using this new space have been amazing! I love the contrast between the white and black, and having both options gives me space for more creativity and client variety. The black corner is perfect for fine-art portraits, the contrast between my soft edits and the black backdrop gives it a bold yet sophisticated look. The while wall is timeless and will serve many clients.

A beautiful runner to the stairs

Client safety is my number one priority. We had slip-free stickers to the edge of every step, however it wasn’t so pretty. While at the store buying other things for the studio, I stumbled upon this beautiful runner and this is when the idea came to life.

Now the stairs are beautiful while still safe for all the pregnant mamas who go up and down these steps. I also added beautiful frames to remind clients they need to print their beautiful portraits through a professional lab. It makes all the difference!

A fully stocked client lounge

The client lounge has moved multiple times, I could never make it the way I had envisioned for so long. My studio is small, so I have to use every little corner, everything has a purpose. When I decided to bring the client-lounge downstairs this is when everything clicked. Now clients have a cozy space to lounge with snacks and a tv. This is where the restroom is, all the dresses and props are here as well.

When families come in with small children, they can sit down, get situated and relaxed, before they are ready for the photoshoot. This is extremely important for newborn sessions, where older siblings can lounge while baby is being photographed. Having this space has allowed me to serve my clients even better and make sure they feel comfortable and at ease.

A new sign & exterior refresh

To seal everything with a golden stamp, the exterior needed a fresh redesign. I am in love with my simple sign and now the entrance is inviting. With the new signage hopefully you can find me easily.

That’s it mama, I hope this space serves you well in 2023 and I can’t wait to start shooting again. With everything ready, clients are now welcome to book their sessions and create beautiful memories for years to come!

If you are interested in doing a session with me, please get in touch and I will be honored to capture your beautiful motherhood journey. Cheers to a successful 2023!

xo,

Ana.
