THE MATERNITY PROCESS

Let’s Get to know each other

Maternity photos shouldn’t feel like a blind date—awkward, uncertain, and hoping for the best. Cringe, right? That’s why I take the time to truly get to know you before your session. Your story, your vision, your goals—I want to hear it all.

We’ll meet virtually at least twice before your photoshoot, so by the time you step in front of the camera, you’ll feel completely at ease—confident, comfortable, and ready to enjoy the experience.

Once you inquire, I’ll send over a link to schedule our virtual meet & greet. It’s the perfect opportunity for us to connect, chat about your session, and answer any questions you might have. Think of it as the start of something beautiful—because that’s exactly what we’ll create together.

The Next Steps

After our meet & greet, I’ll send you a booking proposal via email. If you feel we’re the perfect fit (and I hope you do!), you can move forward with securing your session.

Your booking proposal will include everything you need to officially reserve your spot:
✔ A scheduler to select your session date & time
✔ A contract to review and sign
✔ A payment prompt for your $600 deposit

Once completed, your session will be officially on my calendar, and we’ll start planning every beautiful detail together!

Planning Your Session

Before your photoshoot, we’ll take the time to plan every detail to perfection. You’ll receive a Session Prep Guide packed with helpful resources, including:

✔ Pinterest Inspiration Boards – A collection of beautifully styled ideas to spark inspiration.
✔ A Pre-Session Questionnaire – So I can tailor the experience to you and your family.
✔ A Link to Schedule Your Virtual Styling Consultation – Because every detail matters.

During our virtual styling consultation, we’ll refine your vision—from wardrobe choices to backdrops, colors, and textures. This is where we bring everything together, ensuring a cohesive, elegant look that feels authentically you.

It’s also the perfect time to ask any final questions, so you walk into your session feeling completely prepared and excited for what’s to come!

The Day of Your Session

When you arrive at the studio, everything will be set and ready—thoroughly cleaned, prepped, and styled according to our plan. Your selected dresses will be waiting in the dressing room, and your personalized mood board will be on hand to guide us through the session.

We’ll follow our vision, working through one look at a time, ensuring every detail is perfect. My goal? For you to feel relaxed, radiant, and completely taken care of.

Your session will last between 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on how many looks we incorporate. To keep the experience smooth and enjoyable, I recommend sticking to four or fewer looks—this way, we maintain a beautiful flow without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

All you need to do is show up, enjoy, and embrace the moment. I’ll take care of the rest.

Viewing & Ordering Your Portraits

Within two weeks of your session, your online gallery will be ready for viewing. Your fully retouched portraits will be beautifully curated into a slideshow—so you can sit back, relax, and experience your images in the most stunning way.

This is when you’ll:
✔ Select & pay for your favorite collection
✔ Download your chosen digital images
✔ Choose your heirloom products—Your collection includes an heirloom product. You may also use product credit towards a different product, or use it for additional digital images.

As a special gift, every session includes a complimentary short film—a timeless keepsake capturing your session’s most tender moments. Your session film will be available as an .mp4 download in your gallery.

For physical products, every detail is crafted with care, ensuring the highest quality. Your heirloom pieces will be delivered within 6–8 weeks of ordering—designed to be treasured for generations.

Q&A’s

These are the most common questions I get and hopefully they will be helpful to you. If you have any additional questions please don’t hesitate to reach out!

My schedule books up quickly. I suggest reserving your session date as soon as possible. Maternity sessions occur between 28-36 weeks of pregnancy. Newborn sessions are booked based on due date, then changed when baby arrives within 7-21 days of life. Please reach out with at least 2 months in advance to make sure you get a a date. However, I allow for reschedules, so I often have last minute spots available.

Most of my work is done in the studio. I can control light best and be really creative with custom sessions. However, I often do outdoor sessions, as well as in-home. If you are interested on-location shoots please reach out, I am more than open to travel. Please know that on-location sessions need to be within 15 miles of studio.

Absolutely! All my sessions are family-focused, meaning, I want to photograph you with your loved ones. After all, your partner helped making all of this possible. We will work on portraits with only you, and create specific looks with your partner and/or kids. This way you will have a beautiful variety in your final gallery.

Don’t stress about what to wear, I will help you style everyone being photographed. If you aren’t sure about something feel free to email me a photo and I’ll let you know if it will work! I also offer an amazing client wardrobe for moms and babies. We will work together to come up with ideas for your partner and older kids.

’ve lost count of how many clients have told me they aren’t models and can’t look like the people on my website and yet they totally rock their sessions. I will guide you through easy posing and tell you exactly what to do so you look and feel amazing. Leave that up to me!

I understand and I respect your decisions. I have no problem retouching some things you aren’t comfortable with, we all have our insecurities. This is something we will talk about prior to your session, so when I am photographing you I will use the best angles to focus on your best features. I often retouch my clients to smooth out skin, contour body, and add volume to hair.

If you need any further retouching, such as fixing nose bridges, slimming down arms, or removing double chin, please let me know. However, if your requests are unreasonable, I will have to decline.

If you or someone who is being photographed in the studio is sick please reach out to reschedule your session. I have many babies come in the studio and I want to make sure they are safe. Reschedules are permitted due to weather if your session is outdoors, In-home or Studio sessions are not effected by weather.

Within two weeks of your session, you will receive an email from me with a link to your session slideshow. You will be able to see your images fully retouched. You will then choose which collection you would like, keeping in mind the image count and product. Once you complete your purchase, your fully retouched portraits will be available for download, including your complementary short film. Your products can be picked up or delivered within 6-8 weeks after purchase.

A $600 deposit is required at booking, which will be applied as a credit toward your chosen collection. Your deposit is all you need to pay before seeing your images.

Bump to baby bundle is divided into 4 installments, and Baby’s first year bundle is divided into 10 installments. You may also start pre-paying your desired collection months before your session, I can break it down into monthly installments if you so desire.

Your initial investment is a deposit of $600. Once you receive your gallery, your deposit will be applied as a credit towards your collection of choice. Collections start at $1250 and includes 15 digital files and a beautiful folio box with 15 matted prints.
(e.g. You choose the Folio box collection, $1250 – $600 =$650.00. $600 upon booking, $650 to purchase collection).

Individual digital files are priced at $60 each.

If you are not interested in any of my beautiful heirloom products, you may use your product credit towards additional digitals in the online shop. Each additional digital is priced at $60 each or $1800 for the whole set of digitals.

First step is to fill out the inquiry form. Once I receive your inquiry, I will send an email with a link to schedule our meet & greet. This way we can meet each other and I can answer any other question you might have. Then I will email you a booking proposal and once it is completed, then you are officially booked!
